SH Complex Reconstruction Project
Awarded in 2005, this project was executed for ONGC, with DOEIL working as subcontractor to Larsen & Toubro Ltd. After receiving numerous complaints from pilots about the difficulties in landing helicopters on the SH Platform, due to various obstructions, It was decided that the helideck needed to be raised. The Rs. 3716 lacs job entailed raising of the existing helideck by 4 mtrs., Installation of a walkway bridge, installation of structural steel deck extensions, piping erection offshore, provision of piping supports, dismantling, erection and revamp and finally supply of marine spread.
The entire operation was carried out by providing additional piping supports while lifting the helideck in a controlled environment, using hydraulic jacks.
This job is known to be the first of its kind in the entire offshore industry and is a matter of pride for DOEIL.
